Hey everyone, I just purchased a new Ruger LCP and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what holster i should get. I am leaning towards either a pocket holster or inside the waistband and was looking for some feedback. I would like a comfortable holster that is well made and stylish so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I like the high noon holsters and UBG holsters. Has anyone used any of these? Thanks!!!

I'm a BIG fan of Uncle Mike's pocket holster, size#1. It holds my LCP securely in my pocket and the holster does not moving around. The non-slip band retains the holster in my pocket when gun is drawn. The major advantage over its competitors; the grip is fully accessible allowing FAST grip of the LCP for an even faster draw.

I use the DeSantis SuperFly in the front, hip or cargo pocket. It essentially disappears. I have been impressed by the Uncle George pocket holster. Everyone seems to have good things to say about it. I recently purchased a concealed carry chest holster from Andres Holsters (www.andresholsters.com). It is a double and allows me to carry 2 pistols of any size. It blew me away at a recent gun show when Andre showed how I could carry a full size 1911 and an LCP without much effort, very comfortable. It was approximately $50.

I got one as well and I have to say it's a very good looking dress for Elsie. And only a couple days to get it, as well.

I now have six or so holster's. I guess a personality flaw. Any way, my fav is the Jeff Hay's OWB, most comfort for me maybe because I have so much inside my waist band already. ;D

The IWB Pwii from Aholster has been my main holster since I purchased it several months ago. Haven't found anything that can beat the comfort and the security due to the retention setting it has.
Concur. For IWB I personally prefer thin kydex and the Aholster Pwii is the way to go.

I also prefer wallet holster carry as an alternative (better consistent draw for me versus front pocket carry) and for that I recommend Bear Creek holsters. Doug is awesome and so is his work; my wallet holster has seen much use and it's gets better with use....the draw is excellent.

+1 on the sticky holster.
Was planning on ordering a desantis nemesis but LGS had sticky holster in stock so I gave it a try. So far so good. Fits great in pockets front and back and even held IWB. They have one that will fit with laser and one without.

I think I've FINALLY found the right holster for me!!!

I started with a Fobus paddle ordered from Ruger. It works but was really only concealable under a heavy sweatshirt or jacket and I didn't feel like it was completely secure on my belt.

Next was a Pocket Holster from www.thepocketholster.com. This is still my best option with a tucked in shirt. I changed the anti-print flap to a heavier piece of leather to reduce printing. Some jeans pockets are still a little shallow to feel completely concealed and it is not super comfortable when seated.

Then I purchased a Desanti Summer Heat IWB. This is a very nice holster for the money. It seems to be best for appendix carry (1:00 or 2:00) which is not the most comfortable position for me. It works for behind the hip (4:00 or 5:00) but the metal clip can tear a hole in your shirt, scratch your belt and scratch furniture or car seats when seated.

So... I started a search for a new IWB leather holster with snaps/straps instead of a metal clip. I ended up ordering from hanksgunleather.com. I was a little skeptical since the holster was only $40 plus $2 shipping. The holster shipped immediately and arrived in a couple of days. This is by far the most comfortable holster I've worn, standing or seated. It conceals great under any untucked shirt. There is no risk of tearing or scratching anything. I wish I had started here. The best $40 I've spent in a long time. I'm sure more expensive options use better leather, snaps, etc. but this is a great value and worth consideration.

Fobus paddle...I have one for every pistol. When I walk out the door it goes on my pants and belt in 1 second and is removed just as fast. Infinitely adjustable position.. Impervious to moisture..light weight and very retentive. Properly adjusted it is child resistant as an added factor. I wear it under everything including t shirts with nobody noticing. I personally don't like putting leather on my belt...just me maybe.

I agree, Fobus paddle holsters are great. I have two of them. Make sure you wear a quality belt, Easy on, easy off, comfortable, indestructable. I love mine.

I'll add "wknigclo" on ebay to the mix. He's an elder holstermaker in Fl that I have been keeping contact with over a year now. He has made a very nice paddle holster for my LC9. I had him cut the leather so that the retention thumb strap wraps around the top of the grip area instead of over the back of the slide. It secures the LC9 much better than the "over the hammer" type thumb straps do. He doesn't list it as it was a special order for me, but it's such a nice holster that I think he should add it to his list. He makes good stuff! I'm going to have him make a pocket holster for the LCP by leaving out the waistband clip on his normal LCP holster. He makes them for naked LCP's and for Crimson Trace sights. Can't say enough about the guy. Look him up. Only negative thing I can say is he doesn't charge enough for the quality work he does :)

I finally settled on a Galco Horsehide front pocket model PH 436 also numbered K119 H for my front pocket after trying some others. With leather holsters, I like horsehide the best, sorry Trigger.

I'm curious on everyone's thoughts of the Desantis Super Tuck II? I have been eye balling this for a while now that I know about it. I'm a fan of the IWB, little to no now show clip, and built in extra magazine pouch all in one nice package. Is there anything else out there that is similar or better?
