How do I shoot this gun more accurately?

Up until yesterday, I never thought much about lasers...except as being an expensive gimmick...kind of like all those "toys" you can get to improve your golf swing. I had never used one before because I've always been an okay shot with a handgun. But like I said, that was until yesterday...when I shot my son's new LCP with Crimson Trace Laser.

I'm convinced now...at least on a little handgun like a .380 or a snubnose. They really work well, but you still need to know and acquire good shooting fundamentals wether you use a laser or not. I saw the definite advantage for me (and my son too), that the Crimson Trace provided on a little mouse gun. Those with vision problems would definitely benefit from using one. Just my opinion.

I guess I'm just old fashioned. Ironic considering I'm younger than both you guys. ;D I've been shooting for 26 years without a laser. Somehow, the advantage of training with one is lost on me. But then again, call me old fashioned.
Oh, I agree with ya man. I'm 55 and have been shooting handguns for 40 years. Never ever saw the need for a laser. But my experience yesterday changed my opinion a little. I'm guessing Ram you're in your early 30s. Twenty years from now your hand may not be as steady as it is now, and you may need reading glasses because everything is fuzzy at arms length. Enjoy your youth man!

Anyway, I'm not going to go out and get a laser to put on my Colt 1911...but if I do get another LCP, I'll probably get one with the Crimson Trace. After I shot two magazines yesterday through my son's laser equipped LCP, I followed that up with a magazine through my LCP with no laser. I did about the same accuracy wise, except the laser speeded up things considerably. It was a no-brainer to hit the target using a laser...perfect for an old geezer for me. ;D Have you tried one on a LCP yet? If so, what was your experience?
