About 450 total, 200 through the new barrel, no problem with the new barrel at all.....
1350 AND ZERO issues..
WOW, I need to get out there more. I have only put maybe 80 rounds of Independence in it so far. Everything has done fine. Takes a little while to get used to the trigger. I am planning on going out soon to get used to it.
I have two LCPs. I have about 550 through the oldest one and 80 rounds through the second one. I haven't had one single malfunction of any kind. Ammo was mostly handloads with either 95 grain FMJ or 95 grain RNL.
Probably around 200 only. When I go to the range, i usually only shoot about 2 or 3 mags through it.

370-01xxx here -- haven't shot it quite as much as you, but not one failure yet. Have only tried Rem. GS and winchester whites...
My round count is about 300. That last 200 with the new barrel and zero problems since the fix.
I'm around 750 rounds with zero problems

I just got my yesterday. Went to the range for 100 rounds -- zero problems. I'm very happy ;D
I was watching Youtube video titled "Ruger LCP Break-in Issue" seems I found someone else with a misfiring LCP, however he was using different brand ammo.

I have shot 7 shells of which 1 was a misfire.

Got a box of Remington ammo on 7-19-08 from Walmart in order to do a break in. Cost $16.90 for a box in Meadville PA, last box of .380 on the shelf. I shot though one clip, slipped in the next clip and fired 2 shots (2nd shot 2nd clip was a misfire) mark in primer. Got a full refund on ammo the next day, even though Walmart has a no return policy on all ammunition. Contacted Remington Monday morning the 21st and talked to a lady who got rude when I questioned the ammunition.

Leads me to believe I may have a problem with my gun.
I had a problem with mine when I first got it, but after a call to Ruger and a new barrel, no problems since.
I have about 150 rounds through mine with no problems...
WVleo, consider the experiences of others. The problem you described in a separate thread and which was repeated at rugerforum.com will get resolved and my guess is that you will be regain trust in your LCP soon enough. We understand your disappointment when a brand new gun doesn't do what it's supposed to do but give Ruger an opportunity to make things right. I am not aware of any gun (assembly line or custom made) currently being manufactured that is exempt from potential problems.
Any thing can happen to a pistol at any time, even after 500 rounds. When you clean them do you shoot to make sure everything got put back just right? you going to fire a couple shots each time you clean to make sure? on that 501 round something could malfunction. Since man is not perfect nor will the things man makes be. I ain't seen nothing yet that will not break sooner or later. All we can do is preventive maintenance and hope for the best. Good luck to you wvleo

Up to about 175 now - not a single issue - other than it being hard to lock the slide open at the range when your fingers are getting oily+sweaty. Maybe I'll get that larger slide lock after all?

Kevin
1 bad apple dont spoil the whole bunch ;) We understand your displeasure and aggravation, But let Ruger fix it for you( I know they will and promptly). After you receive your new LCP and 1000 rounds later, I guarantee you will forget all about your troubles. ALLS WELL THAT ENDS WELL. ;)

Had exactly that problem at the range the other day. I thought I had the problem resolved at home, but at the range, I could not engage the lock so I could run my bore snake through it. I've decided to call Ruger and get the larger lock tab. I'm still undecided in whether I will install it myself or find a friend or smith to do it.
WVleo: Peddle it. My first wife didn't work out, peddled her. now got a great one.(24 years still married). Maybe your nexrt gun purchase will be a winner to.I feel your pain to. Once you loose trust in something, PEDDLE IT... Around here, we also expect our guns to go bang when needed....
