VQ firing pin and extractor upgrade?

650 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Bonasa
I have a line on a kit with a VQ firing pin and extractor to replace those stock parts in my Mark IV Hunter.

Worth the investment?

What, exactly, does VQ do to improve the firing pin over the Ruger stock pin? Same question re. the extractor.

Would welcome any and all insight, but especially from those who've made the swap and their experiences before and after.

Have you heard of Mark IV firing pins and extractors having issues? If it works like it should I wouldn't mess with it.

If it was something to improve the trigger pull or something else to improve the overall handling, performance or feel of the gun I could see spending the money.
