I won't trade mine BUT I will buy the Kahr P380 as soon as I can get my hands on one.. My lcp has never given one issue.. I would pass it on to my wife or son..

I fully expect o get my LCP back on track and running fine. I have no plans to sell or trade it. However, I just put a down payment on an advance order for a new Kahr 380, Black coated stainless slide with night sites. I just hope the wait is not too long. Dealer said possible delivery in February.

I don't see where kahr has offered the P380 with the black dlc slide. Where did you read that at. In their webb site, they show stainless finished slide only. I would love to have the dlc slide if offered.

considering they don't offer a black finished slide, u will indeed have a looooong wait.

I had not looked at their Web site, and when I put down a deposit and discussed with the dealer, he did not balk at the request for the blackened slide and tritium sights. i just checked the Kahr site, and you are correct - black slide not offered yet. That will leave me with a choice take a PM9094N blackened slide with Tritium sights (dealer has one in stock - $756), or wait a while for the P380 in regular stainless. I don't think I want to leave a $400 deposit sitting/waiting on Kahr to release the blackened slide version.

ur right there with that assumption and these P380 are going to be very scarce for kahr can't pump them out at the lcp rate of one every 52 seconds. Lot more machine work in the upper slide for sure. The PM9 ur looking at is awesome IMO. course Iam prejudice ;D ;D

I wonder how the Kahr will stack up in the weight department comparied to the LCP. John
The Kahr will be a bit heavier at 9.97oz w/o magazine.
The Ruger weighs 9.4oz (with or without mag I have no idea).

I like my Rohrbaugh R9S Stealth much better than the LCP being that it (the R9S) has no plastic in it, shoots 9mm, is made like a Swiss watch, and is the exact same size as the LCP (an $1150.00 pistol damn well better offer some advantages  ).

However, I'll never sell my LCP for one reason only; it's lighter (empty) than the Rohrbaugh by about 3 oz., and lighter still when you consider that 6 rounds of .380 weighs less than 6 rounds of 9mm.

It may not seem like much, but while I can carry the R9S almost everywhere I go, there are still times when I want even less weight, and that's when I grab the LCP.
Plus, to be honest, I'm not so concerned about dropping or nicking up the LCP because it's more easily and cheaply replaceable, so it's more of a "knock-around" pistol that I often carry in a pocket without a holster while I always carry the R9S in either a pocket holster or IWB when appropriate.

No pistol is perfect nor irreplaceable, but the LCP has found a solid niche in the rotation of carry pistols I use, and it's not going anywhere anytime soon. (I'm even planning on buying another for my wife as a purse gun).

weight difference in those ounces means zero, I won't sell my lcp, it is a real winner. The Kahr is smaller in over all size and pricey to. again I don't use price as my criteria to own a gun. If it's a good un and it fits my needs I will buy it
I willbuy a P380 as soon as I can find one. It took me 3 months to find an lcp...

The first one I bought I sold to a friend.
The second one I traded for a Smith Wesson model 6906

Tomorrow buying LCP number 3.

It's a nice little gun, I don't treat it like it's the end all/ be all gun though, if I get a deal for something else I trade. Mainly because I normally am carrying a p3at anyway daily and the LCP is a backup.

This one I may keep for awhile.

I'm waiting for mine to come back from Ruger the second time - mag dropping out issue.

Have to see how it is once fixed - if I am going to carry a gun for self-defense I have to be confident it won't have an issue - right now the LCP is not there for me.

I want it to be - love the size and way if feels in the hand.

May sell it to finance a .38 airweight. we shall see.......

We bought our LCPs because they fit easily in my board shorts, or my wife's purse. During colder months I carry my M&P40 (and my wife's purse, but that's a different forum).

If a good offer came up I would jump on it and then get on the waiting list for another 371 series LCP for $249.95.
