How about a scale along side for size reference. It looks big enough to cut in half and make two.

I usually use a little pocket screwdriver that has a very smooth tip on it to remove the takedown pin from my LCP. I think that your design could work very well with a smaller size such as 4" x .375" x .125". You could even add a pocket clip (such as those on writing pens) to one end instead of having both ends be for grabbing the pin.

Nice work. Approach Ruger with it to offer but get a "patent pending" for it, which is actually quite easy to do.

I use a small screwdriver too, but tire of putting tape or whatever on it to avoid marring the finish

Nice idea. I just use a small screwdriver that has tape folded over the end so I don't scratch my Elsie.

I use a nylon (of course “no scratch”) cuticle pusher, like it was really made for take down pin removal.
