Southern CA - Newbie

Howdy:

Rare in California, LCPs aren't on our CA Dept of Justice "blessed" list to be sold by dealers in this anti-firearm state. Only through private party (a LEO can purchase almost any firearm) transactions, one can purchase LCPs BUT at a HUGE PREMIUM!

My recently purchased LCP (many $$$) is in the drop recall #370-480XX range. Registered it on-line several weeks ago but haven't received any Ruger notices/replies as of this date.

Good to share this info with all of you

Folks, a star has graced our stage. :). My pal Tough Guy Levi is not only is a decendent of Levi Strauss himself (I get all my jeans free from him) but an outstanding American in his own right. TGL, take no prisoners! Welcome! Long Island's loss is California's gain.
Welcome from NC. Hope you enjoy the LCP and the forum. John

Re: Southern CA - Newbie - LCP Recall Info

Howdy:

Via a phone conversation today with a Ruger LCP recall "specialist" named Wil, I was informed my unfired "rare" in CA LCP will be heading back to Prescott soon since the recall "package/slip" has been mailed to me. Registered my LCP (370-480XX) on-line November 5th. Parts were now available and was told not to include my 6 round magazine. My "inconvenience" 7 round magazine would be returned in the reworked LCP.

For intro purposes, my Cowboy Action Shooting alias is Tough Guy Levi, a fictional charter in sheet music published near the turn of the century. Usually firearm related forums I use this alias since it can't be duplicated etc. This ex-Great Neck, NY resident moved to CA because it wasn't fun riding motorcycles in 12 degree weather and haven't experienced COLD since I became a CA resident in the early 70s. If you all haven't toured the CA Central Coast on two wheels, you are missing the "boat". Pismo, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Cambria, Carmel on Coast Hwy is a delight when there's no fog.

Have a Safe Thanksgiving

My favorite spot on earth is Hwy 1 from the Point Reyes area north to Westport. I've done the entire Pacific coast from San Diego to Port Angeles, WA. The scenery almost makes it worth living among the granola people (the fruits, flakes, and nuts) in CA. Almost.

Welcome from another "bike nut."
