How many have already sent in their LCP for upgrading? Any one who sent theirs in received them back yet?

I sent mine in for work in the beginning of Oct. they knew the recall was coming so they have had in ever since. I was told they don't expect the first parts to roll in until Nov. 24th.

I sent my lcp in 6 weeks ago for a ftf problem and was 1st on list for up grade. today ups came while I was doing a quick errand with a note of a package from ruger. Ill be waiting tommorrow at 10:30am. Cant wait!! Ill keep ya posted

I sent my LCP in for the trigger repair in October and checked Nov 3rd, this was the reply;
Your pistol will be retrofit with new parts per the Recall. We will not start the retrofit for 2-3 weeks, this will mean your pistol will have to remain here for the time being. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Now that I see some are coming back, I'll email them again to get an update.
They have always answered my email later the same day. This is encouraging, I thought it would not be till Christmas...

Mine was shipped to them Sept. 23rd(before the recall was issued) and I was told it wouldn't be back till Thanksgiving plus or minus a few days.

No update.

Just got off the phone, I sent it in the 1st week of Oct. I was told it was mailed out with all of the repairs on the 17th. So they have started the recall work.

sure looks like Ruger is on top of this recall. They should be good at it, as they have had alot of experience in the last 6 months.
We should be getting some real good reports hopefully on these red moded guns. I sure ho-e they did it right this time......

Just got my LCP back from the recall, they did the repairs and gave me a new LCP hat and $25.00 gift certificate to their store. Not bad for a recall. The work looks good.

Hmmmm....

- what shipper did they use?
- did you get a mag with the finger extension?
- exactly what work was done that is noticeable and looks good?

I don't know, for sure, but I think tthompson08 sent his back in October for other repairs and it just happened to be at Ruger when the recall parts came in. I don't think that he got the package and sent it back with their label.

Just a guess on my part. I could be wrong.

My gun just happen to be in getting work done, and yes they did ship the mag with the finger extension. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable work done, it must be all internal. However they did do work on my barrel and the machining marks left behind are terribly sloppy. I am going to have to see if I can clean them up myself. As for the diamond it is there also, sorry no camera right now to post a picture. Looks as though it was heat stamped into the plastic.

What did they do to the barrel? Also, I seem to remember reading here somewhere that they were going to start bluing the barrels, I'm guessing they didn't do yours.

UPS just dropped off my LCP!! Got a free LCP hat, 25 dollar gift certificate and also the free mag with finger extension. Know I have to check it out at the range

Ditto! However, I do not see as diamond stamp.....?

Back from the range. Shot about 50 rounds with no problems at all. Looks like Im good to go .Cant find my Diamond stamp. Where did they hide it!!

My guess is, if you don't have the diamond stamp, the recall upgrades have not been applied to your gun. I would call RUGER and ask if your gun is up-to-date. They will ask for your serial #
