hi all, got my lcp yesterday and the serial number does start with 370.... the gun is stamped where the ruger says to look. However it is not a full diamond, rather it is only what can be described as the top half of a diamond (^) and it came out of the box with a ruger magazine extension on it. I dont know if this means it has been fixed or should I still go ahead and call Monday and ask Ruger, thanks in advance.

I have to agree. Just a light strike mark with the stamp. It's been modified. Enjoy it!
