I am totally new and maybe this has been answered, if so, sorry to bother everyone. I looked at new LCP's today and told the dealer I'd be back for 2 tomorrow. I know very little about the recall and at the time, did not know to look for the diamond. I did notice on the envelope of the test fire cartridge the date of fire was in December of 2008...my assumption, and I guess question is, if the guns are that new, where they manufactured after the recall? and therefore they should be post-recall-problem free? Any input is appreciated. Again, if I missed this answer somewhere just please point me in the right direction. Thanks....Dooley

In theory, if it were test fired in December, it should be a post-recall gun. But the key here is "in theory".

That's kinda what I thought. I guess I'll just wait and see what the serial number is and if there is the diamond. Thanks for the reply.

Just in case anyone was wondering....they were delivered to him on 12/22, and had the diamond with the serial numbers of 370-xxxxx....bought 3 of them! Thanks and hope to use this forum a lot.
