I have a Mark I like yours but does not have the writing on the barrel. Mine isn't in quite as good of shape but close. Same wooden grips, incredible pistol. How do you look up the year they were manufactured?Very nice find! It's not very often when A100 Ruger Mark I Targets are found in that nice condition, especially with the target thumb rest panels. I have one I'll not part with:

Picked this beauty up.. MK I Target
Picked it up at a local auction last night. Dont have my hands on it quite yet but will this week. Got it for $400, which I thought was a good deal. It is 1979 vintage according to the serial number and is in great condition with 3 mags.
