Re: Photos of New Ruger Magazine Extension & Holster

Holster is Desantis IWB #031. It's very high quality, but is generic to this size pistol so cost is a very reasonable $25 or so. Has the best spring clip I've ever seen. No belt required to hold it in place. I've always been impressed with Desantis quality.

Re: Photos of New Ruger Magazine Extension & Holster

Holster was extremely tight at first - had to force gun in until it squeaked. Left it in a day or two and now it's perfect. I cant it forward slightly to keep the magazine extension out of my pants. Good clip - stays where I put it. I wear it under a t-shirt all day long without a problem. I don't like that "pistol under the waistband" draw - why I won't use a clip grip. No CT version that I'm aware of.

Re: Photos of New Ruger Magazine Extension & Holster

I have a Desantis 032 holster that the LCP fits into like a glove. It is like the 031, with a removable clip but has a panel sewn on to the other side with a belt loop. The 032 also has a thumb strap. This holster will be of no use however with the laser I hope to add soon.

As I suspected the LCP wouldn't fit into my holster in the previous post after installing the CrimsonTrace laser so I dug through my holster box and found a couple of Uncle Mikes cloth holsters with clips that I can use either inside or outside of the belt.I'm hoping Fobus, Uncle Mikes or Blackhawk come up with plastic or carbon fiber paddle or belt holster for the LCP with the laser attached. I like the looks of the Fobus in the Elsie store.

I am thinking of this......no holster. I carry the LCP 5 days a week, part of job. After getting a mag with extension, I began to just tuck it into waistband. The extension keeps it from falling into your drawers if hooked over top waist seam.
The pants are 5.11 Tacticals. My idea....an elastic band sewn inside the waist band of the pants. For that matter, you could put elastic bands L or R, front or behind hip. One pair of pants, 4 positions.

Or this (if you didn't need to change sides):

http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/k1/1KB.htm

do it and do it as lot safer than Mexican carry?

They are made with "ultra thin" kydex, which is awfully close to nothing. You could put moleskin on the kydex to make it more comfortable. But even without moleskin it's got to be better than bare metal against your skin. (Did I mention safer?) :)

Just a thought!

Must be just me but I think the lcp belongs n ones front pocket, in a holster..... If I was going to waist band carry, it certainly would not be a 380 lcp
