Just found this site yesterday. Wow!

Yesterday was my first phone contact with Ruger about my LCP recall. Guess I will be sending mine off to them in about a month.

Ruger repaired one of my Vaqueros about a year ago and did a great job. It is really nice to find a company like Ruger that stands behind its products

I am a retired Deputy Sheriff and believe you cannot own too many pistols. The LCP replaced my PPK/S which was a backup gun for almost 25 years. Nothing wrong with the PPK/S, but the LCP is the best concealed carry pistol I've handled.

Thanks to all the contributors here. I have learned a lot in just one day.

Welcome from an illinosian who is a part time Wi resident. If it wouldn't be too much imposition, you might
be willing to comment on concealed carry current laws and future prospects in Wisconsin. I'm sure others on this site
would be interested in your perspective.

Hi Somowolf
I was a full time Deputy for 32 years and did form an opinion. Concealed carry is favored by the majority in this state and has passed the legislature several times. The Governor vetoed it and no override happened. Our politics is dominated by a minority around Madison and Milwaukee. I believe Wisconsin is behind times and is long past due for concealed carry. The idea that you should rely on police to protect you isn't practical. My night shifts used to be two officers for 634 square miles. Wisconsin concealed carry is permitted for Law Enforcement personnel. Until a less Liberal Governor is elected, not much chance of changing

Thanks owoodeye for the response. My place in north central Wi is more than 30 minutes from the nearest patrol
station, if an officer can find my location on the first try. Cell phone operation is also spotty. This is a great forum and
I am sure you will enjoy participating.
