I have already devoted countless hours of browsing and reading to the forum. This community was one of the reasons I purchased the LCP. I was looking for a small carry option while I was also thinking about getting my CCDW permit. I'm a big Springfield Armory fan and thought I could get away with carrying a sub-compact .40, but for me it wouldn't be practical. When I do get my permit (it takes about 3 months I hear to get through all checks) I think I'll be pocket carrying or IWB with the LCP.

I'm also looking for a nice .22 semi-auto pistol to offset the costs of shooting higher calibers. Basically something to scratch the itch and not cost an arm and a leg to shoot. I held a Walther P22 a few days ago that felt like a dream....Any ideas?

I just arranged a trade for a Smith & Wesson 22a which should be here toward the end of the week. Previously had a SIG Mosquito which I liked a lot. I know that a lot of shooters are fond of the Rugers and Brownings (and even P22, I believe). If I remember correctly though, only the P22 looks like my idea of a handgun. Will post pics and range results when it (S&W 22a) comes in. I use our club's outdoor range so I'll probably be standing in two feet of snow to shoot. Oh, well! I'll be shooting. ;D

Hi there neighbor!
Did you get your LCP local and if so was there a wait?
I purchased it from Tilfords on Fern Valley Road for $309. When I originally inquired I could've been #1 on the waiting list with a deposit, but when i went back a few weeks later I ended up #3 on the list. I only had to wait a month. no biggie.
