Not an auto, but it is spring assisted. The SOG clips are cool because it buries it all the way in the pocket. A couple guys have bought them after playing with mine. Check ebay first for all knives, I got mine BNIB for $40 shipped (msrp is $80+).

I am in the belief that I do not want to carry a knife that costs more than I care to replace it at, with that said I carry a Gerber Evo fine edge, it was about $30 if I remember right and is always sharp and gets used a lot and does what its suppose to do. it looks just like a CRKT M16 and roughly the same price, I had a Spyderco before I bought the Evo but it got left under the hood of a car and well the rest is history. I've really enjoyed my Uzi Defender folder tactical knife. Highly recommend it.

Very reasonable price cheap on ebay.

Comes with a nice aluminum case. Unfortunately the case is a bit too small to fit Elsie in.

I change knives like underwear...So I usually stay away from really expensive ones. I usually buy Gerber, CRKT, or a cheap Buck knife. Now for a good knife I second anything Spiderco...I had an awesome one for about six weeks, lost it, and started buying cheap ones. SOG also makes a quality blade. I use a SOG Seal Pup for my primary hunting knife. Cleaned several animals and have has minimal edge wear.

Spyderco for sure. I have carried one everyday for 15 years. Broke the clip off twice , sent it back and they sent a new one no charge. Third time they installed a metal clip and I still carry it. Good customer service.
