Now don't get me wrong because I really like my LCP, but I'm betting there won't be a recall on anything Magnum Research puts on the market.

Especially given that Magnum Research has been transitioning from a role as a distributor for Israeli-produced weapons to a manufacturer, I wouldn't put much stock in their past quality for good or bad.
They probalby would have to produce that gun over here and not from overseas, due to the point system. That micro 380 would not pass as a foreign made gun.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. If Glock can't export their .380 into this country how the heck can Magnum Research.

They at one time, I believe were manufacturing guns in Saco Maine but they are head quartered here in Minnesota. I haven't been following them that closely.
I did speak to the owner and one of their gunsmiths and a range and they were shooting 50 cals. I asked if they saved their brass and they said no so I retrieved 75 casings of once fired brass. I thought that was a good deal.

Thanks guys for the info and comments.............at that price I will stick with the LCP and P3AT

I was hoping it would be more like a conventional design with locking slide on last shot and a manual safety...........what a dreamer ;D ;D

tHE MICRO DESERT EAGLE IS MADE IN MINNESOTA UNDER LICENSE WITH zvi IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC. iT IS VIRTUALLY THE SAME PISTOL AS THE CZECH "KEVIN.". YES THE KAHR 9 IS A GOOD ONE....AND PRICEY. i CAN'T SPEAK TO THE LCP, BUT THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MICRO EAGLE AND THE P3AT IS, THE MICRO EAGLE WORKS!
BY THE WAY, KAHR ARMS BOUGHT MAGNUM RESEARCH MAKER OF THEH DESERT EAGLES IN JUNE 2010

AG, do NOT type in all caps as it is interpreted as shouting.

The current run of P3ATs have a far better reputation for reliability than earlier iterations. Please be careful with blanket statements. It would be great since this is a Ruger LCP forum, if you could compare the MDE with the LCP. I think folks would find that particularly helpful.

Thank you, the Elsie Moderators
