Having a problem with my new Hunter, no matter what I do I can’t seem to keep it from stove piping, this happens at least once every 20 rounds…any ideas on what this could be would be greatly appreciated…thank you

Yes, I try to clean every outing, I’ve never broke it completely down to the springs yet but maybe I should give that a try also
Did you clean it first before shooting?
I've gotten several new, out of the box firearms that are filthy with rust preservative. It's not oil or grease and can really gum up the works.

When you say you are having stove piping issues is it during feeding or ejecting that it is giving you problems?

I bought a Hunter 4 months ago I had the same problem, shot 500 rounds through it no improvement. I sent pistol back to Ruger got the gun back in two weeks have no problems now. Ruger replaced recoil spring, magazine, firing pin spring (rebound spring) and ejector. Don’t waste your time trying to fix gun send it to Ruger.

I had the same problem with my new Mark IV Target. I thought about replacing the extractor until I found this mag tuning video by Tandemkross:

It worked like a charm and not a single jam or stovepipe after 3,000+ rounds.
