I'm glad to have read this and other threads about the Lcp Max. I was seriously considering trading the Lcp Custom I bought several years ago on one mainly for the new trigger and increased magazine capacity.
After reading these threads I decided instead to install an Mcarbo trigger spring kit and live with the 6 +1 ammo capacity. My pistol has worked perfectly and the trigger spring kit is a fantastic upgrade although the 2 click trigger reset isn't my favorite.
I did reinstall the original trigger reset spring because the Mcarbo worked but felt alot weaker than the factory reset spring. The pull weight is much lighter but still heavy enough that I won't worry about carrying in the pocket or iwb with a round chambered.
