I have 3 LCP’s. The first one, first one in stainless, and the LCPII. I was so into getting a Max. I handled one at a shop yesterday. Feels really good in my hand, love the sights (although with my practice shooting I don’t use them), but racking and dry firing I HATE the trigger! Nasty! Sounds like it has a screen door spring in there somewhere. Anyway that trigger was a turnoff for me…not getting one!

I don't completely know why, but I can shoot the LCP MAX more accurately than the LCP II. I think it is both the bigger grip and an improved trigger. I own LCP II (both 22lr and 380 versions), and the MAX. In order of accuracy for me the MAX is best, then the 22, then the LCP II 380 which is pretty similar to the 22lr.

Several ppl have complained about the sound the trigger makes when pulled. I guess if that's an issue for you then so be it. For me it's only noticeable when dry fired.
