I currently work for a large sporting goods store (actually have put in my 2 week notice because I finally got new job/career). I told him that I have been on a wait list for a LCP for 3 months now and said I was just day away from getting mine before the recall hit. He was just smiling and nodding. Anyways, I asked him when the 371 series was going to start being produced and he said they are being produced right now. He said they made 1,200 the other day. So, sounds like what we have been speculating, that they are handling this pretty well!

I have to state that my opinions are mine only and do not reflect on Sturm, Ruger & Co.
The demand for the LCP and every other firearm made by any other manufacturer is unbelievable. When you stop and think about every part of any gun has to be made in house to exact specifications it takes a while to produce the guns you want ASAP. I don't think SR knowingly would sell any gun that didn't pass every test required by law and a few more. I bet when you get your LCP, it will be the gun you wanted and the one I had a very, very small part in making.
