FWIW, I spoke to a high muckety-muck from Ruger today. He said the guns are flying out the factory door as fast as they can get them built. The company is obviously happy with the commercial success of the guns, and also the great reputation the LCP is earning in the hands of shooters all over the country.

July 6th I was number 42 on the list
two weeks ago I was number 12 on the list
last Sunday I was number 5 on the list
now is the time for a count down......
I've got extra mags, holsters, and
debating on a C/L sight.( head light).
Next I'll need a mud flap or something

Thats ONE nice thing about being on a wait list. It gives you plenty of time to prepare!

The local Cabela's and Gander Mountain had so many requests they quite making waiting list's. Said they had over 3,000 on back order and had no idea when they would come in.
One of the salesman said smaller orders were being filled first.
Found mine at a local pawn shop that sells a lot of firearm's.
Pawnshop sells so many they don't put any on display. You have to call and ask specifically for a LCP. If in stock they will tell you come and get it now.

wow I didnt' realize there was still such a demand for these. I guess I was extra lucky just to have found one at my local dealer. It had only been in the case about 2 hours. Took me about 5 min to decide to buy it. Was really looking at an SR9. $300 out the door ( no tax gotta love NH) and she gave me a nice Ruger baseball hat....so that was worth $15...

Hope you get yours soon!!

I'm scratching my head at some of these waiting list stories. Like offcamber, I had no problem getting one through my local gun shop. Told them I wanted an LCP and two days later they called to say the gun was in. The same thing happened for someone I know across the river in Virginia. Admittedly, we may have paid $25 more than if we were willing for the prices to hit the $275 zone, but is months of waiting really worth $25?

I didn't feel like waiting for months, either. Paid $330. for mine. I wanted it NOW... ;D
After taxes that is how much I am paying for mine. No other place has any around here. The most popular gun store where I live has over a 40 person wait list. Maybe they get more in at a time than the place where I ordered it from, but I should be at number 4 now.
