First time poster here. I just found the forum via another gun forum. There is a lot of good info here and I've been browsing for a while. Anyways, on to my question. I bought an LCP a few months ago and then deployed to Iraq. Now I hear about the recall and I'm wondering if there is a time limit to respond to the recall? I won't be home until April. Should I be worried or will they honor the recall regardless of when you call them? Thanks.

Thanks for your service, and a Merry Chistmas to you Two-Seven-Mike.
I Believe that Ruger Recalls last indefinately. They still have a active recall on the Old Model Blackhawks, and I know that has be going on for at least 6 years - probably longer. I wouldn't worrie about it, just carry it safe.

storm27m, I agree that the recall will go on for a long time and being that you are serving your country even if it ended I think Ruger would take care of it. Thank you for your service and stay safe. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. John

Yes, from what I have been told, they will recall each and every LCP regardless of time.

Thanks. I've never had to deal with a recall, so I was a little worried. Now I just have to hope they keep the free magazine offer going.
If Ruger won't take care of you (and I'm sure they will) I WILL!

UPS may be the same, but firearms shipments to foreign countries may be a lot more involved. That and local delivery incountry to a military location? If it was that easy, insurgents could have easily subverted the process for their own purposes. I'm sure military mail has even more oversight.

Ruger still offers the recall on their Single Action Army Colt lookalike, and I think it's been going on for what, 15 years? I could be a little long, but it is an example of their customer service in that regard.
