Hi Guys:

Does anyone know of a gunsmith who is willing to polish the feedramp and throat an LCP and also work on the trigger pull? Thanks.

has ur lcp been back for the recall. If so, then they throated it. I would let Ruger do it on their dime and not let any smith touch it. Polishing the feed ramp and inside the barrel chamber is a no-brainer. a dremel with cotton swab will do a super job and if no dremel some 600+ grit auto paper will do the same thing, just takes alittle longer. You can't hurt a thing either.

Trigger pull, best leave it alone, lcp triggers are looooong, desiged that way, the only safety on the gun, and trigger pull is around 6.5# and other than loooong is good. Not a match gun, but a defense gun, it will smooth out some with more rounds but b asically not much you can do for the trigger situation, other than leaving it alone.. to lightent he trigger pull wold require a lighter hammer spring, which could cause lite strikes.... LEAVE IT ALONE..

I have one with the higher serial number that has not been back for recall. Did you mean 600+ grit sand paper rather than auto paper?

I understand the function of the trigger as a safety, but I respectfully disagree. I think the trigger can be improved, although that might take shooting lots of rounds.

yup 600+ grip sand paper or 800, finer the grit just takes alittle longer..

you can strip the gun completely down and polish the trigger bar and hammer and hammer block, It might smooth it up some but will not reduce trigger poundage. I have done this on my kt's and unless you have a ruff hammer and trigger bar, it is hard to tell if you achieved anything, other than the satisfaction of knowing you did an action job. there just isn't much to the lcp as far as action work that can be achieved. You can't shorten the trigger length pull, you can reduce the poundage by going to a lighter hammer spring, although I have never known of anyone ever doing it or wanting to, for it will produce lite strikes, nor do I know of any company making a lighter poundage hammer spring for the lcp or the kt's. Good luck with what ever you do, again more rounds down range is the best break in your lcp could ever get IMO>
