Grips anyone?

Has anyone put any type of grip on their LCP? A slip-on? I've been thinking of using one to help get a little better hold on the "P".

I have purchased, but not yet received, a Covert Carrier sleeve. Although not it's primary purpose, I'll let you know if it has any beneficial effect on the security of holding onto the LCP.

I put a Houge grip on mine along with a Bersa finger extension that kraigster414 gave me, made a world of difference for me. Without them, I had to re-adjust my grip about every other shot. Not that it hurts to shoot the LCP, it just moved around more that I liked......
I put some Hogue HandAll, Jr. grips on my LCP!  Works fairly well!

For some reason I have had no difficulty holding on to the LCP. I mostly shoot it one-handed, both right and left handed. It does not hurt my hand. It doesn't seem any more difficult to shoot than my M&P 45c.
Has anyone tried both the Kel-Tec and Bersa Pinky Extensions on their LCPs and if so, what are your thoughts on each?

I've only tried the Kel Tec extensions. I really did not detect any benefit to accuracy or comfort either way. This may be because I am relative new to pistol shooting. I carry with the standard base plate.
Really looking for a reply from someone who has tried both so they can address the pros and cons of each and then me and others that are interested in added this accessory can make our decision as to which we want to use! :)

Hey picketeer, I have used both, I bought a couple of the Keltecs and kraigster414 gave me a Bersa. I personally like the Bersa better, it allows a solid two finger grip without any excess length hanging down, about a 1/4 inch difference. That's just enough to cause the Keltec extension to hang up a little as I draw it from my front pocket. Of course, different pocket= different results :)
Regards,
Mike
Right now I only have the Kel-Tec version but I am hoping to find someone who dislikes the Bersas and would like to get rid of one so I can test it out! Maybe I can get lucky like you and someone will give me one?????

Rumor has it that Pearce will be coming out with a "dedicated" LCP pinky extension soon.  Of the two currently available finger extensions, the Keltec made by Scherer and the OEM Bersa, I like the smooth surface, slightly smaller Bersa.  But the nicest of all me think anyway, though like the other two, it leaves a gap at the bottom, is the North American Arms finger extension designed for their .380.  Now expensive and I think NAA is your only source to buy.

For a grip, although it is not that easy to find, I like the small Pachmayr slipon (#4?) turned upside down on the LCP.  Minor trimming required but easy to do (it's a bit long out of the box).  Of all the rubber grips I have found, the Pachmayr is the easiest and safest to trim.  It's fairly thick rubber compared to the Hogue Handall Jr and the Uncle Mike's which I also like.  Keep in mind if you decide to add a Crimson Trace to your LCP you are going to have to do some additional trimming around the activiation button, not hard.

Hi Mike (Ooben), good to see you here. :)  You might want to mention your solution to the gap problem.  Other options to hide the gap if it seriously bothers you (it's just cosmetic), is the use of one or two O-rings at the bottom of the mag.  Personally, I like one O-ring as it partially hides the gap but more importantly, keeps the mag from moving rearward.  You have to have the right size 1/16th in. wall, 1/2 in. diameter O-ring.  If anyone wants one or two free, drop me a message.

Since the Bersa (smooth) OEM finger extensions are hard to find, here's a link.  I ordered from this outfit before and found them reliable.  No telling when the Pearce LCP extension will finally be out.  The Keltec extensions are easy to find, check Ebay for starters. The difference between the two is that the Keltec is checkered and the Bersa brand is not.

And if you want to see what the NAA finger extension and the O-ring look like, I just posted a pic of my gun in the Media room.
Here are your 3 most popular slip on rubber grips for the LCP - Pachmayr No. 4, Hogue HandalJr, and Uncle Mikes. All require minor trimming and I find the Pachmayr the easiest to work with both with an without a Crimson Trace.

Great pics. Thanks everyone.
I tried the Bersa grip extensions, and I liked them shooting, however, becasue I pocket carry, they didn't work well, especially in jeans. They protruded enough to restrict a smooth draw and they poked out which ruined the wallet-like "print" of my holster. So,they're gone.
For those interested in the North American Arms Guardian finger extension, they are now expensive but can be had directly from NAA(and yes they fit the LCP but also show the gap, see pic below):

Just heard that the Pearce LCP extension (no gap) should be out in November 08. Finally, a dedicate mag extension for our gun! That's good news.
I never knew how much benefit grip extension are. I install one on my glock 30SF and how I don't mind carrying it anymore.
