A few weeks ago I ordered 500 rounds of 380 ACP from Georgia Arms. I contacted them last week to see how things stood. They told me that there was a very good probability that they would have some made up by the end of February. They called me a couple of days ago to tell me that they had the ammo and wanted to know if I wanted to pick it up this weekend at the Eastman gun Show at the Agri Center in Perry, Georgia. They said I would still after paying admission to the gun show save about $15 dollars in shipping and handling costs. Of course I thought that was a great idea. I went to the gun show Saturday afternoon after all the storms coming through Georgia passed on by. The folks from Georgia Arms told me that they had just finished shipping out 50,000 (fifty thousand) rounds of 380 ACP, most of which had been pre ordered in advance. They told me that their problem is getting the actual bullets. That they had the other parts on hand. They also said that they had no idea when they would be getting in the bullets. The only other 380 ACP ammo I saw was from Alabama Arms. They had maybe eight boxes (50 rounds per box) left that were going for $19.95 a box.
This gun show was packed. I saw more families together at a gun show than I have ever seen before. There also appeared to be a lot of women there looking to buy guns, apparently for themselves.
I did not see any LCP's or P3AT's on any tables at this show. I saw one gun that I was interested in and that was an older Colt nickel plated snub nosed 38 Special for $679. However I just looked at it, laid it back down and walked on. I am saving my dollars for either a Kahr or Sig 380 ACP when they finally get down my way.
