In another thread we were talking about how people carry their reload mag. It made me wonder how many even carry a reload seeing as you only get one mag with the gun, and since the LCP may be used as a backup gun so some might not carry a reload under those circumstances. Whaddya think?

As small as the extra mag is, why not? Just a little bit more security as far as I'm concerned. And yes, I have practiced reloading drills with my LCP, and I'm not sure I should mention this, oh what the heck, I even beveled the mag opening on mine :-[ I just can't leave anything alone.......

Mike

I couldn't join in on the poll, as there was no answer there for me.

I always have the extra mag, in a carry pouch, in the vehicle console. I figure the fully loaded mag in the carry gun will solve any problem I may have. Maybe, I'm a little over confident. [??] :-\

A Galco SMC20B Single Magazine Case for .380 Single Column Mag works for me!

Never without a reload on my person. At work one in the off-side front slacks pocket (in a Meco pocket mag pouch), two off work also in Meco pouches, the second in my strong side cargo pocket.

If carrying the LCP as a backup, sometimes I will an sometimes I won't. I recently started using a new case for my Blackberry which has a convenient hidden pocket the perfect size for a spare LCP mag.

On those rare occasions when the LCP is my only firearm (at the gym, jogging, etc.) then I'll always have a spare magazine.

I don't carry one, yet. I'm waiting around for someone to come out with a 8 round mag with finger grip. ;D
Supposedly the 10 rd NAA mags work in the LCPs

Don't carry an extra magazine because I anticipate needing the extra ammo for an all out gunfight. That's ludicrous for an LCP. On the other hand the magazine can be a sensitive and unreliable part of any auto pistol system so it is an extra bit of safety management I am practicing.

I have never seen anything about that anywhere. I guess I will do some research and see if that is really the case. I wouldn't carry it with that mag because it would kind of defeat the purpose of the little gun but it would be nice for the range.

I figure I've got eight opportunities to stop someone with the LCP. Seven shots then throw it at them if there still coming. I'll probably tote an extra when I get one. When will they come out with a bayonet for the LCP ?

No, The average non law enforcement gun fight consist of 3 rounds fired in 3 seconds from 3 feet. I am already over double the rounds needed for the average scenario. The LCP is my primary weapon when I'm carrying it,it was purchased because it is small and lightweight. Carrying extra magazines defeats this purpose.
