Lets hear about it... I've heard some rumors of brand new LCPs coming from the factory with a fitted hard case; who has one? Did it add to the cost of the pistol? Do you still get the soft case? How about some pictures?

Hope you don't mind me quoting your post with pictures from your thread over to here!!

$330 with two mags and the hard case... I paid $275 for one mag and soft case. Did yours come with the rag too?

I know the mags go for about $35 and I'd imagine a case like that is good for $25-$35 on store shelves. Doesn't sound too bad.

$32 w/ extension from ruger.

I'm pretty sure I paid $35 or more for mine from GM... of course at the time, they were the only one's that carried them.

Okay so say $30 for the mag, rug is worth $10, take that from the $30 on the hard case... so we're talking $50 worth of stuff over what I got and it ran you an extra $55. Seems like an alright deal; I'm totally guessing on the value of the cases so it might all come out in the wash.

Either way... I want one of those hard cases!

Serial 370-x +diamond. I got the hard case, two mags, no extension, no rug or mat. $330 from Academy.

The case would be more useful with a little loop for a padlock I think. It does appear to be water resistant, if not water proof. It fits the gun very snugly, and would be good if you were going to store the gun or travel with it in your car.

I'm trying to figure out what kind of system Ruger has in place now...

LCPs with box, rug, one mag (no extension)
LCPs with box, rug, two mags (one extension
LCPs with hardcase, two mags (no extension)
LCPs with hardcase, two mags (one extension)

It's like a grab-bag for the LCP... the only think you KNOW you'll get is the pistol, lock and a mag.

I would assume Ruger can make any in house changes they want. I didn't get my $25 gift certificate when I got mine back and personally I don't really care. I don't feel they owed that to me..

Guys you are not carrying the case in your pocket are you? LOL. I have a whole closet full of plastic cases, when I've traded in a gun no one has ever asked for the case, and other than storing junk in them, I really have no use for the things (I did convert one to a cigar travel humidor once, cigars ended up smelling like BreakFree). As for the $25 check, there is a thread on this explaining why some got and most didn't. I am just glad to have gotten my gun back (in a week), fixed on Ruger's dime, better than ever (not that i had a problem before). Gun rugs? The gun should be in your pocket, not in a rug! :)

Enjoy. So who's gonna win the free holster?

Cigars that smell like CLP?  That sounds disgusting!

I suppose I don't use my cases that much either, but for transporting when not carrying I really do like a fitted hardcase.  Plus, that one pictured above looks pretty nice!

I'm thinking whoever said the 4th of Jan will be winning the holster... MAYBE the 5th if new member registration takes a sudden slow-down.
