Does anybody know whether someone has made a custom grip for the LCP? I like everything about the LCP...except the grip is too small for my hands. I need it to be a little thicker, a little longer (I've already got the grip extensions)...and I really would love to have nice wood grip panels on it!!! In my opinion, that LCP is actually a little TOO small. Custom grips would help. Ideas, anybody?

kinda defeats the reason the lcp was made IMO. If you want a little thicker and alittle longer, you need to step up to a 9mm pocket gun, something in the order of the Kahr PM9 or cw9. I wouldn't change a thing on the lcp. I doubt if the lcp fits anybody's hand perfect. It is what it is,,,, a small ccw gun that you will never know u are carrying it and will deliver the punch when needed. We sold in my gun business days 100's of the NAA mini revolver, other than a 6 month old child, that gun ever fit anyones hands...

Come on folks. It is a fact that the grip of the LCP does not fit everyone. This holds true for most guns. What is wrong with some company making a fatter slip on sleeve for the LCP or someone making the abrasive pads to fit the LCP for a better grip. I think a fatter grip would appeal to a lot of us. I have to remember to adjust my trigger finger otherwise I either pinch my trigger finger or have trouble pulling the trigger such that I do not pull the sight radius off the target. For me a fatter grip on at least the right side of the LCP would help me to keep my trigger finger aligned properly without having to remember it all the time. One size grip just does not fit everyone.

You're correct, that grip fits nobody perfectly. If this were a target/range gun, I'd be in the market for fatter grips. But we adjust and make do b/c it is what it is...a POCKET pistol that doesn't print at all in your front pocket. It's made for close encounters when you no longer have the option to turn and burn, a last resort. Pull it, point it, BANG!

Hey jrmichael - how many rounds have you fired with your LCP? I felt the same way when I first got it, now, after about 500 rounds, I wouldn't change a thing. It's a "learn to shoot it" and you'll like it thing. Now when I hand my gun to others to try, they have the "wow.. small" reaction, and I can understand. Maybe it's a matter of time / # of rounds thing... just a thought.

Hey Bob, I have close to 600 rounds down the pipe with mine and I still wish the grip was a little wider. I don't think it needs to be any longer, but I can't get it out of my head that a double stack mag with 8 rounds would be really cool....but then again, I wish my house was paid off and I could winter in the Grand Camen Islands...oh well :)

I am used to shooting a Glock model 30. As many of you know it has a wide thick grip. When I move to the LCP I have to make major adjustments to my shooting style. I know some folks say that if you want a thicker grip go get a bigger gun. I say "BALONEY" to that. Just make an adaptation using velcro to suit your needs. We all know about velcro. It has to sides. I am sure there is a proper name for both sides, but I do not know the proper names. All I know is that one side has the plastic barbs on it. The other side has the fine fibers on it. I took the side with the fine fibers and cut a piece to fit around the grip of my LCP. I pulled off the sticky side of the velcro and applied it to my grip. I overlapped the velcro on the right side of my grip so as to make the right side thicker than the left side. That is just me and how I wanted my grip to feel and fit my hand. I then slipped on over the velcro my Pachmyr rubber slip on grip sleeve. The result is a slightly wider grip that fits my particular hand better, but a grip still small enough to fit in my front pocket without printing through. This wider grip with the velcro, Pachmyr sleeve and a magazine extension makes the transition from a gun with a "WIDE" grip to the LCP feel more natural, at least it does for me. The velcro also adds a "spongey" feel to the grip which helps to absorb some of the felt recoil that I have heard some complain about.

Check out "Agrip" gun grips
http://www.brookstactical.com/Pages/fitlist.html

Have a look... Kel-tec P-3AT uses model number KT-2
you can also buy the stuff in "bulk"... or by the sheet to cut fit for whatever you want.

Doesn't make it wider... but it should stick a WHOLE lot better!!

Or you could get some of that sandpaper type stuff...
