I don't know why I didn't do this sooner..

Anyone else's extractor look seated like this (slightly crooked - look on the right, how it is not quite flush and somewhat crooked compared to the slide housing)??

It works flawlessly, but it came this way from the factory. All I have done is field stripped the slide, not touched the extractor or anything like that.

It almost looks like it needs to be pushed to the left about 1/8" but certainly I'm not going to disassemble it and try to resolve w/out first talking to all of you folks...

Uh, I have to say this Dogg.......listen to your mind :D That looks just like mine, I think you have no problem there, especially if you never have had any extraction problems. If I had my camera here today, I'd take a picture of mine so you can rest easy tonight... ;D
Regards,
Mike

Not the greatest picture (attached), but mine looks like a carbon copy of yours, and like you, operates flawlessly. Mine was replaced by the Ruger repair dept. when I send it back for a different reason, so this is the latest and appears to be normal?

Ok, cool, I'm glad it is SUPPOSED to look like that. Like I said, it works fine, so I'm just gonna keep shooting it like I stole it. ;D
If you cant your head slightly when looking at that crooked extractor, it wil look perfectly straight ;D

OK cohoskip, well that is good to know.

So it seems even if the extractor is slightly different from the ones in the pic, it is probably OK (if it works). I guess there is some wiggle room on that piece.
