I just installed the Crimson Trace on my LCP. The instructions say to remove the CT when you clean your gun. Do you need to remove it every time? It seems like a bit of a pain, but if the laser would be damaged, I'd do it.

No. I raised this issue with CT. Just be careful not to let oil or solvent seap into the "innards." I do not remove my CT prior to routine cleaning of the gun.

There are a couple of threads that cover this more thoroughly, but the short answer is... not hard at all.

I agree with Howard. Not hard at all. I got it on the first try without breaking anything, "unusual for me".

I was rather impressed at how well the laser fit the tirigger guard. Sure was some fine engineering on this object.

No. Mine has been on and off several times. No adjustment yet.

Wrap the laser unit in "press-n-seal" plastic wrap after the weapon is field stripped. cut it free after cleaning when Elsie is about to be reassembled

I leave mine on. The only time I took it off was to send the LCP back for the recall work.

I do not remove mine. But you might use a clean dry Q-Tip on the laser now and than. they do get flim on them. did this when i first installed mine and it got real clear.

Hummm, I don't clean under the barrel. Not an issue.
