Cheap Jeans (Did I remember to say "Cheap"?)

Guys, I am almost ashamed to say this, but...I purchased a couple pairs of $8.00 Faded Glory jeans at Wallymart the other day because I needed some kick-around-work-in-the-yard-don't-care-what-happens pants. I discovered that the watch pocket above the front right hip pocket accommodates my LCP like a charm, with only about half an inch of the lower grip protruding from the top. I can even wear my shirt tucked in if I blouse it just a bit. Just a thought.

Hey Freeman, welcome to the forum! Is it ok to be embarrassed with you? I found out the really cheap Wranglers I wear are the same way.....although I usually carry a spare mag in the watch pocket with the LCP in the front..... ;D
Regards,
Mike

I vote for the Wranglers. No politics involved - I find the belt loops on the Faded Glory jeans too small to accept a decent-size belt. My favorite belt is a Safariland Velcro duty belt, and it doesn't fit in narrow loops.

Hadn't tried the watch pocket, though. I use a DeSantis Nemesis in the RF pocket most of the time. Still waiting for Fobus to notify me they are making a paddle holster for Elsie w/CTC.

Sluggo: I agree about the belt loops. I have seen/heard/read about the DeSantis Nemesis...does it really work? I tried a friends leather holster that was made "rough side out" so it wouldn't move during the draw, and it did. The Nemesis description makes me think that the material used is similar to that stuff that you line toolbox drawers with, or put under placemats so they do not slip. If it is, I have found that material loses its stickiness after a time. How is yours holding out?

I have used the DeSantis Super Fly without the flap since I bought my LCP 5 months ago. I just exchanged it for the model that accommodate the Crimson Trace LaserGuard. I chose the Super Fly over the Nemesis because it is advertised to have an improved formula for the sticky coating. I have been completely happy with mine. I practice drawing frequently and the Super Fly stays in my pocket. It may move a bit depending on the tightness of fit between LCP and holster, but so far it has stayed in the pocket. One thing to watch out for is that once it is warn in, the fit on mine before the model for the LaserGuard was loose enough that my LCP did slip out of my pocket when I elevated my legs. But then, so did the change in my other front pocket.
