I purchased my LCP at Cabela's about 6 weeks ago, the gun dept at the Cabela's I bought it from just called to inform me of the recall. Anyone else get this courtesy?

I didn't. I bought it from a local gun shop so you would think they were on there game.

not sure if it's a courtesy. legally, when there is a recall, the manufacturer is required to notify all affected owners so you should expect some kind of notification, usually it's in writing. i don't know for sure but if a manufacturer has a relationship with a big retailer like cabelas.....the manufacturer has the duty and responsibility to attempt to contact everyone, that's all part of an official recall. as well as the fix being free.

I failed to send in my registration card when I bought my lcp four mos. ago so I called Ruger. They took my imfo. over the phone and told me I would be hearing from them.

I also picked mine up from Cabela's, but I haven't heard from them. I read about the recall here and called my buddy who just bought one.

I bought it from a local dealer and they called the day after the recall was announced.

They are a top notch outfit in every way.

Didn't call me either! Bought mine at Cabelas a month or so ago and mine is a serial 370-xxxxx. I went to rugers web site and filled out the recal info on the LCP page.
