I have been wanting to pick up an LCP. My question is do the new ones already have the recall work done? How do I tell if I am about to purchase one that is good to go, or one that needs to be sent in? Thanks guys!

YES, they do have some available with recall already done. If I have read correctly the LCP's with the recall already done will have a diamond somewhere near the serial number. The dealer should be able to tell you as well if the recall needs to be done. Also check the "recall thread" here at this forum for identification of recalls. Hope I helped. Someone else will prolly correct me if I've giving any wrong info. Sorry if I did! :-[

Any 371- series will have the new components. I have not heard of any of these reaching retail yet. The 370- series post recall production which is now in retail distribution will have the diamond stamp at the bottom of the trigger channel. Check out the picture at the Ruger site to see more clearly, so you can identify one when you look at it.
