After my 1st 20 rds.I got misfires. Strange because it allowed me to double and triple strike before it fired. The primers were not touched until they fired. Not knowing better I was shooting the gun w/o lube.Do you guys think the slide was dragging and not closing? Or the dreaded hammer block was malfunctioning??
After speaking to my dealer I performed a keltec fluff&buff (lightly)
and lubed thoroughly w/ breakfree.Since then I have fired 100rds. flawlessly.
Im really not familar enough w/ this firing mechanism and how it resets yet. Thanks

any good lube will work, find what you like, remember you don't want it stain ng your pants either, again a good reason why alot use a good grease that stays where u put it. I know a fella that uses Mobil #1 and loves it. The lite strikes and the ability to repeat them without cocking the slide is "baffaling". If that continuesj, I would call Ruger and discuss it...

Another vote for Brian Enos' Slide Glide Lite - it's designed specifically for carry weapons, stays put but not too thick. Outstanding stuff.

Good deal! Another Fan of Slide Glide! I got the idea from sigforum and gave it a shot. I will never look back. This stuff is great.

I had the same issue when firing the UMC's. My LCP would fail to load the last shell in the mag more times than not. I heard the Golden Sabres were better and found out the LCP simply loves the Sabres. No FTF or problems since. I'm going to try the Hornady XTP's next. No more UMC's for me.

Other than trying Hornady's ammo, WHY. when you find a good defense round, just stick with it, get used to the way that rounds shoots etcs.. the Sabres work absolutley great in the lcp's and it is certainly one of the heaviest rounds (102 gr) that you can shoot in the lcp to and to feed so great.

I bought a CT from this Elsie Pea Store and it transformed the LCP. It is quite different from any shooting I have ever done. Put the dot on it and pull. It took me two shots to zero in the CT with the included allen wrench.

The best lube on all my firearms is Mobil 1 15W/50. The advanced engineering that went into this lubricant and its ability to withstand extremes in temperature makes it my only gun lube.... And you can't beat the price.

With a very light coating on all lube points on my LCP, I have never had a cycle issue... Except when using magazine extensions, but that is an entirely different issue.
