I'm in Albuquerque, NM. None of the gun shops here seem to be able to get in on the LCPs that were supposed to ship this week.

The only place I've found LCPs for sale is on GunBroker.com. These are being bid up high enough to put them into the NAA Guardian price range - an 18 ounce gun with a better reputation than the LCP (depending on who you ask) and no smileys. No flaming please, it's my money I'm going to be shelling out.

I really want an LCP and I want to pay no more than $300 for it.

Anyone else see any at their gun shops or online yet?

;DI hate to burst your bubble but if you expect to find one for $300 you will wait along time, as they stopped production to fix the 70,000 bad ones. You can find them but they are in the $500 range. Same old story supply and demand lol. Lucky when i found mine and paid $199 but that I think is over. I will nor comment on the quality of the gun until it comes back repaired as it has more problems than just the recall.

I had my name in at three different places and the highest was $289 plus tax. I was lucky and found a used one before any of the shops got one in. Two of the three called me within 2 months of me signing up with them and I turned them down because I already had mine. If I had thought they would go as high as the $500 skywagon is saying I would have bought them for resale.

I saw a pre-recall production for sale in a St. Charles, MO gunshop for $259.99
 My understandin the dealers cannot sell them anymore until they send them back for the recall. does anyone know this for sure? ???
That would make a lot of sense. If Ruger has to pull them back and fix them, it is a lot easier to simply have all dealers send them back and send them replacement stock when it becomes available instead of dealing with thousands of impatient unhappy customers.

I visited three LGS's yesterday. No LCP's, no KT P3AT's... I did find one KT 32. All owners gave the same story - they won't get any more LCP's at least until the recalls are taken care of. One LGS owner stated that thier Ruger rep had been in and advised them that production of the "new and improved" model (2nd Generation) will not begin until March '09. We'll see.

I checked with 3 shops in my area, all were in the $295.00 to $305.00 range and are willing to lock in that price with a deposit. They all said that I wouldn't see a gun in my collection until April at the soonest. Now to get a deposit laid down. Sure wish they were made in OD.

I think you can still get them around $300. It's finding one. I'm on a couple of lists (although I got mine-walk-in, lucky day) and got called and said they are waiting for the new guns. As I understand it, they are still making and shipping the up-dated LCPs as well as retro fitting the older ones. They just are making as many as they did before the recall.

There is a local gun shop here that is selling them with the diamond stamp. I think they sent back their shipment and they are just fixed ones. I am on a waiting list myself for another one. I hope it isn't until next year. That would stink!

As soon as mine gets back from Ruger, there will be recall-done one for sale. PM me if you are interested. I have no idea how individual to individual sales work, so knowlege in this area would be very helpful.

I was at the Gun & Knife Show in Richmond, VA today and one of the vendors had four for sale, already returned from the factory with the mod completed, for $349 each. They only came with the one mag with the finger grip extension. They sold out in about 1 hour. They still seem to be commanding a premium.
