One of the enjoyable things I do related to firearms is I like to make my own grips. I like making a weapon fit my hand as well as possible, there are a lot of fine grip manufacturers out there, but there is no replacement for a grip that is custom made for your hand. It can turn a painfull experience into something very pleasant. Plus making grips keeps me out of the wifey's hair... :D

Colt 1943 1911-A1, Colt Cobra, 25 auto of some sort, CA Bulldog, Colt Pre-Woodsman, my skinning knife, Colt Challenger

My two favorites are the Colt Challenger and the Charter Arms Bulldog grips....

These were the first grips I made for the Bulldog, great for concealed carry, great for making hamburger out of your hands.... :D

Thanks for the compliments, but it really isn't that big of deal to do. Every grip I have made has been made out of old pallets, using not much more than a hand file. It definetly takes more time than talent to do. I think that anyone who tries could do it. Some of my first ones ended up heating my living room ;) but I would encourage everyone to at least try it, your wife may thank you :D
