One of the enjoyable things I do related to firearms is I like to make my own grips. I like making a weapon fit my hand as well as possible, there are a lot of fine grip manufacturers out there, but there is no replacement for a grip that is custom made for your hand. It can turn a painfull experience into something very pleasant. Plus making grips keeps me out of the wifey's hair...

Colt 1943 1911-A1, Colt Cobra, 25 auto of some sort, CA Bulldog, Colt Pre-Woodsman, my skinning knife, Colt Challenger

My two favorites are the Colt Challenger and the Charter Arms Bulldog grips....

These were the first grips I made for the Bulldog, great for concealed carry, great for making hamburger out of your hands....

Thanks for the compliments, but it really isn't that big of deal to do. Every grip I have made has been made out of old pallets, using not much more than a hand file. It definetly takes more time than talent to do. I think that anyone who tries could do it. Some of my first ones ended up heating my living room but I would encourage everyone to at least try it, your wife may thank you
