Really surprised by the accuracy, first 3 were in a dime @ 7m. Just got to get used to that long hard trigger pull. I can definitely see how some sight aids will speed up target acquisition. has anyone tried the Daysiters from nitesiters?

Couple observations...

1) No malfunctions, period. Ammo was Winchester FMJ-FN.

2) before live firing I was having a little difficulty with the slide going back into battery with a Snap Cap in the chamber. I seemed like if I didn't let the slide go 'sharply' (from the lock position) it would not seat home. This did not occur with live ammo, and seems much improved (with Snap Caps) after the first 50.

(the following apply to some things that I have read on the forum over the last week, but I can't remember the thread)

3) My takedown pin is (magnetic) steel.
4) I had no problem with the takedown pin walking out.
5) My barrel is Magnetic Steel (not classic stainless). It is not blued, but I'm not sure that with the exception of the external firing chamber area, it is not 'coated' (370-44xxx).

Anyhow, Here's wishing all of you out there a very Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, also.

Probably a good idea to slingshot your slide all the time when loading a live one in the chamber. And always chamber a live round from the mag.
You will get a bzillion opinions from others. TRUST ME!

All are; you're thinking of the plastic pins that hold in the trigger and recoil block; a plastic pin would crack right in half.

4) I had no problem with the take-down pin walking out.
The walking problem is with the pins above; the take-down pin has a detent spring

I'm pretty sure virtually all LCP's have carbon steel barrels which are either not coated, or have only a mild rust inhibitor bath prior to assembly if anything.
